What You'll Do
- Support and operate the two-hour U.S. Mailboat Sophie C cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee, ensuring a smooth guest experience and adherence to the itinerary.
- Assist with on-board postal services, including selling postcards and applying the collectible cancellation stamp to mailed items.
- Engage with passengers by describing lake life and island stops as the Skipper highlights areas of interest during visits to multiple islands such as Loon Island, Bear Island, 3 Mile Island, East Bear Island, Camp Lawrence, Birch Island, Sandy Island, Cow Island, and Jolly Island.
- Support onboard amenities such as the snack bar and gift shop by helping guests select snacks, ice cream, and souvenirs.
- Communicate schedule and island-stop information to guests to enhance the experience.
What We're Looking For
- Customer-service oriented with strong hospitality skills suitable for a cruise/tour setting.
- Interest in lake life and island communities, with ability to engage and inform guests.
- Comfort working on a boat and handling daily itineraries under a seasonal cruise schedule.
- Basic familiarity with mail/postcard processes and ability to operate a collectible cancellation stamp is a plus.
- Ability to work cooperatively with crew and Skipper.
Nice to Have
- Experience in tourism, hospitality, boating, or retail.
- Prior on-board or waterfront customer service experience.
