About the Role Greater Nashua Mental Health is seeking a third shift Crisis Support Specialist to join the Emergency Services team. The CSS provides administrative support during deployments and may deploy to the community to respond to client crises, facilitate evaluations, and support crisis apartments. When deployed to the community or office, the role supports both clinical and operational tasks to ensure timely response and safe, coordinated care.
What You'll Do
- Provide administrative support to the Emergency Services (ES) team before, during, and after deployments (opening client files, updating charts in EMH, gathering insurance information, coordinating deployments with Access Point, law enforcement, and deployment team).
- Respond to the ES Support Line and collaborate with Agency On-Call systems as well as community partners such as hospitals and police.
- Maintain operational readiness: safety sweeps, upkeep of agency vehicle, light cleaning and maintenance of apartments/work spaces.
- Monitor and supervise clients in crisis apartments for brief periods to allow relief and deployment of staff; assist in apartment admissions/discharges as needed.
- Conduct onsite risk assessments and crisis engagement; facilitate crisis evaluation between client and telehealth clinician and follow up.
- Support deployments where a peer or clinician is absent; complete special projects and other administrative/operational tasks as assigned.
- Ensure readiness to deploy to the community and coordinate with ES teams.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Human Services, or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years related work experience.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills; basic computer experience; proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook/Email, Word, Excel).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; high energy, self-motivated and proactive.
- Valid driver’s license and automobile with required liability insurance.
- Ability to multitask, adapt to workload, and exercise judgment; comfort with risk assessment and crisis engagement.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Human Services, Communication, etc. is preferred.
- Experience in crisis services or emergency response.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: $18.50 - $26.20 per hour.
