Job title: CRF Student Ambassador

About the Role The Center for Research and Fellowships (CRF) administers three key areas of programming at Villanova University: student research, nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships, and the Presidential Scholars Program (PSP). CRF seeks an undergraduate student worker to support general office functions starting in Fall 2026. This position reports to CRF’s Senior Administrative Assistant.

What You'll Do

  • Front Desk & Operations: Greet all guests to the CRF-Office of Education Abroad (OEA) office suite; check in appointments; answer in-person and phone inquiries; assist with editorial and data projects; support CRF staff on programmatic needs.
  • Events: Provide support with events, including the autumn Student Research Symposium and February Presidential Scholars Interview Program; create and edit promotional materials.
  • Outreach: Assist in outreach and recruitment of candidates for external scholarships and fellowships (e.g., Fulbright U.S. Student Program) and promote CRF through on-campus tabling and orientation events (occasionally on weekends/evenings).
  • Other duties: Take on additional tasks and projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Students from any major or program on campus are welcome to apply.
  • Strong interpersonal/customer service skills; ability to interact with students, staff, and external stakeholders such as applicants, parents, and high school counselors (in person and on the phone).
  • Interest in writing, proofreading, and editorial work.
  • Willingness to take initiative; reliability, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to discreetly manage sensitive information in accordance with University and FERPA confidentiality guidelines.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hours: 10 hours per week minimum; CRF is open 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Eligibility: Work-study preferred but open to all students.
  • This is a student position intended to develop professional skills through writing, editing, outreach, and events.
