Credit Evaluation Manager

NOTE: This role does not offer Relocation or Sponsorship. Applicants must be eligible to work in Isle of Man.

We are looking for an experienced Credit Evaluation Manager to assess and evaluate lending applications through robust credit risk assessment, affordability analysis and sound financial principles. The successful candidate will support asset book growth while ensuring lending decisions remain within the Bank's risk appetite and regulatory framework.

Working closely with business stakeholders and relationship teams, you will provide expert credit guidance, make prudent lending decisions, identify growth opportunities and contribute to maintaining a high-quality credit portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Essential

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Commerce or a related discipline.

  • 5-7 years' experience in credit assessment, credit risk decisioning and lending within banking or financial services.

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, repayment structures, collateral management and credit processes.

  • Advantageous

  • Real estate, property finance or structured lending education.

  • Key outputs

  • Critically assess valuation assumptions, sustainable cash flows, loan-to-value, debt-service and interest-cover metrics, lease profile, tenant quality, vacancy, break options and marketability.

  • Design or challenge fit-for-purpose security packages, guarantees, cessions, mortgage or other collateral arrangements, intercreditor terms and enforcement priorities.

  • Make credit decisions and recommendations in line with applicable lending policies, regulatory requirements and sound credit risk principles.

  • Identify and mitigate credit risks through appropriate security structures, facility conditions and ongoing portfolio monitoring.

  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor on credit matters.
