Certified Veterinary Technician
Bowdon Animal Hospital is located in Bowdon, Georgia and we are actively seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working up rooms, embrace client education, feels confident working beside other team members and veterinarians. Has the confidence to talk to clients and go over plans of treatments and medications prescribed by the veterinarians. This team member will be an efficient and effective multi tasker, be neat and organized, speak and carry themselves in a professional manner, and be aware of their time and responsibilities. If you are looking for a vet clinic to share you knowledge and skill set with then we would be interested in hearing from you.
Qualifications
- Certified Veterinary Technician with active license in Georigia
- Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to place IV catheters
- Draw blood and run in-house lab equipment
- Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program.
Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.

Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.

Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.

Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
