About this role
About the Role Navan is seeking a Creative Director to lead a high-velocity, global creative studio that balances a world-class brand with the speed and rigor of a social-first newsroom. This role requires dual audience storytelling—capturing both enterprise buyers and end-users with emotionally resonant and rational journeys. What You'll Do
- Own the Creative Vision: Drive the global creative strategy and brand consistency across marketing assets, platforms, and physical experiences—from TV, OOH, Digital, and Social to flagship events like Navigate.
- Lead a High-Output Engine: Oversee and scale in-house design, copy, video, and animation.
- Integrate Creative into the Business: Help writers and designers deeply understand Navan’s business model, sales cycles, and customer pain points; fluently measure conversion and business impact.
- Pioneer AI-Driven Efficiency: Champion generative innovation and operationalize AI tools to automate ideation, rapid prototyping, mood boarding, and asset generation—enabling the team to move faster and focus on big ideas.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a strategic peer to Demand Generation, Sales, and regional teams to translate complex functionality into persona-centric campaigns. What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of creative leadership with a track record of building and mentoring high-performing design/creative teams; experience scaling operations through growth inflections (Series C+, rapid headcount expansions, or post-IPO environments).
- The "Scrappy-Scale" paradox: Big-brand pedigree leading multi-channel, integrated campaigns for global brands, with an infrastructure-agnostic mindset; formative years in fast-paced environments like newsrooms, agencies, or social-first shops.
- Transparent Culture: Thrive in candor and assertive leadership, delivering direct feedback and expecting the same from peers and team.
- Conviction + Flexibility: Strong opinions, loosely held; defend the best creative concept but pivot quickly when stakeholder needs or data dictate a new direction.
