About the Role Under the guidance of the Patient Capacity Management Center (PCMC) Leadership, the CPP/TC RN leads and supervises a team, ensuring efficient and safe patient placement and flow within the UCSF Medical Center Health System. This role involves collaboration with various healthcare professionals and departments to manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, while maintaining a positive patient experience and high-quality care standards.
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise a team in the Central Patient Placement and Transfer Center (CPP/TC)
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure efficient and safe patient flow
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and departments to optimize patient placement
- Maintain a positive patient experience and high-quality care standards
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of five (5) years of recent full-time acute care, critical care or emergency RN experience
- Previous Supervisory/Lead Experience
- Demonstrated ability to supervise clinicians and manage complex workflow and multiple priorities within a patient care unit
- In-depth knowledge of patient care clinical standards, care delivery, systems, external regulations and internal policies
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to quickly analyze problems and develop effective solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills
