Job title: Courier
About the Role Healthcare courier responsible for pickup and delivery of items or specimens for Eisenhower Health. Supports timely transport of supplies and specimens to maintain patient care. This is a part-time/per diem onsite role.
What You'll Do
- Drive safely and comply with all traffic laws and the Code of Conduct.
- Complete daily pre-operational vehicle assessments and maintain vehicle maintenance log.
- Transfer items to designated delivery areas while preserving quality and safety.
- Maintain interior cleanliness and ensure safety kits and accident kits are available.
- Keep transportation manual in the truck and stay updated on routes and policies.
- Deliver supplies to clients and off-campus locations; prioritize STAT pickups.
- Deliver laboratory specimens and reports to clients and labs in a timely manner; coordinate with lab staff as needed.
- Coordinate with Specimen Processing and Client Services to ensure timely handling.
- Complete annual Driver Safety course and Golf Cart Safety module.
- Comply with patient specimen handling guidelines.
- Notify leadership of any vehicle damage or maintenance needs.
What We're Looking For
- Licensure/Certification: California Driver License; must be 21 years of age; Riverside County Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe Certificate upon hire.
- Experience: Preferred: Prior experience in customer service.
- Skills: Written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and as a team; knowledge of Coachella Valley streets; safe driving; time management; safe handling of biohazardous materials (if applicable).

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $19.00 per hour (hourly).
- Schedule: Part-time, per diem.
