About the Role
Join Tatte Northeastern as a Counter Team Member & Barista. This front-of-house role focuses on greeting guests, delivering delicious beverages and pastries, operating our point-of-sale system, and keeping the cafe clean and welcoming. You’ll be part of a team that lives Tatte’s hospitality values while delivering great guest experiences.
What You'll Do
- Welcome guests and engage with them throughout their cafe experience
- Take guests’ orders and process payments using the POS system
- Prepare and serve beverages (barista stations) and food to guests
- Maintain clean, well-stocked cafe stations and uphold brand standards
- Provide product knowledge on all Tatte items and upsell where appropriate
- Ensure safety and sanitation standards are followed at all times
- Collaborate with teammates to support service during busy periods
What We're Looking For
- Customer-facing experience and genuine hospitality mindset
- Passion and knowledge of coffee, bakery, and savory offerings
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for 8+ hours, and work varied shifts including weekends/holidays
- Flexibility to work afternoons/evenings and across multiple shift times
- Familiarity with a POS system and basic cash handling
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Ideally, at least 1 year of barista experience using manual espresso equipment in a fast-paced cafe/restaurant

- Prior experience as a barista using manual espresso equipment in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Counter Team Members $11.75–$14.25/hour plus tips; Baristas $13.25–$16.25/hour plus tips
