Job title: Counseling and Administrative Manager
About the Role Manages the operations of the Special Procedures and Abortion Clinic for the SFGH Division of UCSF’s Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences, including fiscal, human resources, and practice management. Serves as the clinic’s practice and operations manager, delivering trauma-informed, patient-centered abortion and gynecologic care within San Francisco General Hospital. Leads and supports the counselors, nurses, physicians, eligibility workers, and learners to provide non-judgmental, compassionate care in a supportive, destigmatizing setting.
What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day clinic operations, including staff assignments, clinic flow, patient cycle times, and Epic optimization.
- Oversee supplies and equipment, purchasing, compliance, and security.
- Liaise with Biomedical Engineering, Environmental Services, Facilities, Forms Committee, Health Information Management, and other internal partners.
- Lead and support counselors, nurses, physicians, eligibility workers, and medicine/nursing learners to deliver high-quality abortion and reproductive care.
- Ensure trauma-informed, patient-centered care in a welcoming, destigmatizing environment.
What We're Looking For
- Experience managing clinic operations in a healthcare setting and supervising a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to coordinate across departments and manage vendors/services.
- Knowledge of Epic or other EHR optimization and clinic workflow improvement.
- Strong fiscal, purchasing, and HR capabilities.
- Commitment to trauma-informed, patient-centered care and quality improvement.
