Job title: Cost Analyst - Hardware Engineering
About the Role The Hardware Engineering Cost Analyst drives early-stage cost analysis to predict and optimize costs, while recommending manufacturing processes for parts design during projects. You will output analysis documents and collaborate with Sourcing and OPS teams to quote part costs for engineers, and you will manage prototypes, special samples, BOMs and drawings, plus organize manufacturing knowledge within the team.
What You'll Do
- Manage the earlier stage of cost analysis, evaluate and predict costs for parts and projects
- Provide manufacturing process suggestions for parts design during projects
- Output the cost analysis documents
- Collaborate with Sourcing and OPS teams to quote part costs for engineers
- Manage prototypes and special samples for the R&D team
- BOM and drawing management
- Manufacturing knowledge management and organize in team documents
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor degree in engineering programs
- At least two years of experience in design or process engineering
- At least three years of sourcing or purchasing work experience
- Experience in one or more manufacturing processes such as injection, bending, stamping, machining
- Willing to study different process knowledge and share with team members
- Ability in writing English in documents
