About the Role
Clark County Jail Services is seeking dedicated entry-level Corrections Officers to help maintain a safe, secure, and humane environment within our facilities. You will play a vital role in supervising inmates, ensuring security, and contributing to the community’s safety, with opportunities for career advancement and specialized assignments.
What You'll Do
- Supervise, custody, and care of inmates; maintain security and order in jail facilities; prevent disturbances and escapes.
- Work a 12-hour shift on a 4-on/4-off rotation, including weekends, holidays, and day, swing, or graveyard shifts.
- Participate in training and staffing activities; support essential public safety services 24/7; respond to incidents with professionalism.
- Take advantage of Education Incentives after probation and Bilingual pay premiums per pay period where applicable.
What We're Looking For
- At least 21 years old; United States citizen or legal permanent resident; high school diploma or GED; valid driver's license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; physically fit to perform duties.
- Ideally, experience in a security setting or military experience (preferred); history of exceptional attendance; meet comprehensive background requirements (Clark County Jail Services and the State of Washington).
- Knowledge of Brady and Giglio rules and the importance of ethical conduct and integrity.

Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: hourly wage range $37.78-$46.98 (USD).
