Job title: Corporate Markets - Market Risk & FX Specialist
About the Role
You will be a member of Belfius Financial Markets, actively proposing financial products and services to Corporate and Local Banking clients within the commercial strategy. By your deep interest in financial markets, the macroeconomic context and how Corporate clients can hedge, you ensure maximum added value for our clients.
As a Corporate Markets professional, you will manage a portfolio mainly consisting of mid-cap clients in a defined region in Flanders and focus on covering currency and interest rate risks in close collaboration with the Corporate Banker.
What You'll Do
- Follow a portfolio of mid-cap clients in a defined region in Flanders and cover currency and interest rate risk, in close cooperation with the Corporate Banker.
- Identify and propose market risk solutions within the commercial strategy and applicable regulations for client activities.
- Conduct market and macroeconomic monitoring, analyze market evolutions, and proactively follow up with clients.
- Offer solutions to Corporate clients and manage market risk associated with their activities.
- Regularly liaise with Financial Markets - Treasury & Trading and Corporate Banking to coordinate efforts.
- After training, monitor market variables (FX, interest rates, commodities) and translate them into client-appropriate product proposals based on their financial situation.
- Stay organized, manage multiple opportunities in parallel, and build constructive professional relationships.
What We're Looking For
- University degree (preferably in economics or finance).
- Experience in Corporate activities or financial markets is not mandatory but a plus.
- Willingness to meet minimum presence requirements for Financial Markets (maximum 1 day of remote work per week).
- Strong commercial persuasion and solid negotiation skills.
- Team spirit, positive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and networking abilities.
- After training, ability to track market variables and translate them into appropriate product proposals per client situation.
- Well organized with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities in parallel and build constructive professional relationships.
- Dutch speaker, with good knowledge of English and French.
Nice to Have
- Experience in Corporate and/or financial markets is a plus.
