About the Role

Join Amgen Capability Center Portugal as Corporate Audit Manager to lead day-to-day execution of risk-based internal audits across operational functions. You will support Senior Managers (Audit Leads) and help define audit scope, ratings and conclusions. The role is based in Lisbon, Portugal, contributing to Amgen's compliance and risk management.

What You'll Do

  • Audit Execution & Delivery: Manage day-to-day execution of assigned audits under the direction of a Senior Manager (Audit Lead). Perform risk and control assessments, control testing, and issue identification in accordance with Corporate Audit methodology. Ensure audit workpapers are complete, accurate, and properly documented in the audit system of record. Draft clear, concise audit observations and supporting analyses for Senior Manager review. Support audit reporting activities, including preparation of draft reports and corrective action tracking.

  • Stakeholder & Fieldwork Coordination: Act as the primary coordination point for process owners during the audit risk assessment and audit fieldwork phase. Communicate audit requirements, status, and timelines clearly and professionally. Identify and escalate judgment matters, emerging risks, or sensitive issues to the Senior Manager (Audit Lead).

  • Quality, Risk Coverage & Continuous Improvement: Monitor audit progress and ensure milestones and deliverables are met. Support validation and follow-up of corrective actions. Contribute to audit methodology, template, and execution improvements. Support enterprise risk assessment activities and other audit initiatives as requested.

  • What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.

  • 6–8+ years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or related risk/compliance roles.

  • Demonstrated experience executing audits from beginning to end.

  • Strong understanding of risk-based auditing principles, internal control frameworks, audit documentation and evidence standards.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in deadline-driven environments.

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including audit report drafting.

  • Risk assessment and control evaluation in regulated and complex environments.

  • Audit report writing and issue articulation.

  • Experience using audit management systems and enterprise documentation tools.

  • Ability to work with enterprise systems relevant to audit activities.

  • Nice to Have

  • Professional certification (CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent).

  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare industry.

  • Experience supporting audits involving third-party risk, cross-border operations, or regulated compliance environments.

  • Compensation & Benefits

  • The expected annual salary range for this role in the posted location is 45,758.00 EUR to 61,908.00 EUR. In addition to base salary, Amgen offers competitive Total Rewards Plans aligned with local industry standards.
