About the Role Join Naughty Dog (a Sony Interactive Entertainment studio) as a Core Tech Programmer. This hybrid/onsite role focuses on owning technology across the production pipeline, from DCC tools to runtime systems, and collaborating with artists and designers to enable high-quality assets and efficient workflows.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and support technology in our production pipeline from DCC tools, through asset management/conditioning, to runtime game systems.
- Work with and enable artists and designers to create assets across all production stages, focusing on workflow, user experience, and performance of tools and technologies.
- Navigate and continuously improve an extensive code base.
- Assume project ownership; adapt to evolving responsibilities as needs arise.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years in the video game industry.
- Minimum 1 shipped AAA game.
- B.S. in Computer Science and/or Mathematics or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent 3D math skills (linear algebra and vector math).
- Extensive experience in creating PC applications in C++ or C# (level editors, art prototype catalogue/database, animation/cinematic editor, material/shader editor, DCC plug-ins, build tools, data messaging tools, lighting tools, or similar).
- Bonus: console programming; databases and query optimizations; scripting language; experience using DCC applications.
- As part of the Naughty Dog application process, expect a technical interview.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: USD 141,400—176,700 per year (Los Angeles area base pay).
- This role may be eligible for additional compensation packages that include annual bonus and other incentive plans.
