Job title: Coordinator, UOP Reach for the Stars STEM Academy (RFTSSA)
About the Role The Coordinator for the UOP Reach for the Stars STEM Academy (RFTSSA) will provide strong organizational and leadership support for a summer STEM enrichment program operated through a collaboration between University of the Pacific and Stockton Unified School District. Under the direct supervision of the School of Engineering Assistant Dean for Student Success, the Coordinator will join the collaboration to implement RFTSSA for Summer 2026 on the Stockton campus. The role focuses on on-site management, curriculum support, and partnership development to deliver a rigorous, project-based STEM experience for students.
What You'll Do
- On-site Management and Outreach Support: Support Tomorrow Project Administrator in all administrative functions of the academy.
- Assist and support current and new academies related to the Tomorrow Project.
- Provide staff development for teachers and teaching assistants regarding the philosophical application and long-term goals of the Tomorrow Project and the purpose of project-based curriculum development.
- Provide classroom instructional support as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers to reinforce curriculum implementation and behavioral restorative justice.
- Observe instructional methodologies and provide feedback to teachers with consultative guidance from Program Administrator.
- Work with Tomorrow Project Administrator to collect academy data.
- Keep up-to-date records of equipment, materials, maintenance, and supplies.
- Support teachers in monitoring daily activities (student breaks, lunch, field trips etc.).
- Hold daily staff meetings with teachers and/or teaching assistants.
- Serves as liaison between the Tomorrow Project Administrator and academy site administrators for all academy related needs/issues.
- Coordinate logistics for ordering classroom instructional supplies.

- Strong organizational and leadership skills; ability to communicate with school-based and university/community partners.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and students in a STEM enrichment program and support project-based curriculum.
- Willingness to participate in staff orientation and required trainings (Staff orientation, Minors on Campus Training).
- Ability to maintain accurate records, collect academy data, and coordinate logistics.
- Availability to work on-site on the Stockton campus during Summer 2026, including participation in opening ceremony (June 1) and closing ceremony (June 27).
