About the Role The Coordinator, Shipping & Receiving supports warehouse operations by scheduling and coordinating shipments and maintaining real-time inventory data. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficient freight coordination to ensure timely delivery of products. What You'll Do
- Process all inbound and outbound paperwork to ensure real-time data in the computer system for all transactions including shipping, billing, and receiving.
- Serve as primary contact for inventory questions including movement, spoilage, shortages, inventory adjustments, and obsolete items.
- Manage weekly inventory cycle counts and work with Accounting to research and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain inventory control procedures throughout the warehouse and manage the Warehouse Management module.
- Manage customer returns and repair/build pallets for outbound shipments.
- Read Safety book for staplers and use of PPE; assist in handling inbound phone traffic.
- Process inbound/outbound paperwork and add shipping costs to inbound POs; coordinate all outbound UPS & FedEx shipments; verify and route drivers.
- Check in/out drivers delivering or picking up loads; direct drivers to dock doors with proper pickup/delivery protocol.
- Handle small packages and notify recipients; process inventory requests for demos and prepare overnight shipments for field staff.
- Maintain adequate shipping materials; assist with LTL freight scheduling; update inbound load board as needed.
- Follow food safety requirements (HACCP, Allergen Management, Food Defense, and Food Fraud) and SQF guidelines. What We're Looking For
- High school diploma and 2+ years of shipping/receiving or distribution experience; factory or DC setting preferred.
- Experience with automated Warehouse Management Systems integrated with ERP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM software experience preferred.
- Forklift operation certification; licensed forklift operator; ability to operate pallet jack.
- Read/write English, basic math; interpret packing slips and data entry accurately.
- Knowledge of packaging methods and common material handling equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong attention to food safety.
- Familiar with HACCP, Allergen Management, Food Defense, and Food Fraud training; uphold SQF guidelines. Nice to Have
- CRM experience preferred.
- UPS/FEDEX online software experience preferred.
- Experience leading Continuous Improvement projects.
