Job title: Coordinator of Signature Events (25 Hours/12 Months)
About the Role
The Coordinator of Signature Events supports University Advancement by providing logistical and administrative support to the Associate Director of Signature Events for a range of events. This role helps coordinate event timelines, on-site logistics, budgeting, and event layouts.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Associate Director of Signature Events with all event functions.
- Gather and confirm event details prior to event day.
- Coordinate and communicate with the event host (Client) on event-related functions.
- Coordinate and confirm vendor details, logistics, and compliance.
- Data entry and organization of event logistics.
- Support the creative production of events.
- Maintain and assist with volunteer contacts and communication.
- Provide on-site assistance with audio-visual, campus information, catering, safety, etc., and act as liaison for event organizer(s) with on-campus departments.
- Establish and implement short and long-range organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures regarding university alumni affinity groups.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of alumni events and University Advancement marquee events (Parent and Family Weekend, Homecoming, and Grandparents Day).
- Coordinate Planning Committees for marquee events.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating the operational effectiveness of events and effect changes required for improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to live and uphold the University’s Christ-centered mission and values.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Hospitality and team-oriented attitude; willingness to assist with all aspects of the business when required.
- Ability to plan multiple events simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and composure.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour.
