Job title: Coordinator for Student-Athlete Development & Letterwinner Engagement

About the Role The University of Cincinnati is seeking applicants for a Coordinator for Student-Athlete Development & Letterwinner Engagement role supporting the Student-Athlete Academy. This is a full-time, salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will provide student-athletes with exposure to professional aspects of collegiate athletics in a progressive learning environment, while following all departmental, university, conference, and NCAA policies and regulations.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in daily operations, programming and initiatives within the Student-Athlete Development Academy pillars: Leadership, Personal Development, Career Exploration, and Community Impact.
  • Assist with department data tracking, branding, social media coverage, and storytelling efforts.
  • Co-facilitate and/or lead a course for upperclassmen to support leadership development and the transition to the University of Cincinnati; including but not limited to the student-athlete experience.
  • Assist with coordination of community impact activities and initiatives.
  • Engage in platforms and technology that best support the Academy.
  • In collaboration with members of the team, create presentations and reports for the Academy.
  • Assist in evaluating and building programs aimed at growing engagement with current student-athletes, alumni and future Bearcats.
  • Establish and maintain an environment conducive to the welfare, personal development, life skills and professional readiness of the student-athletes.
  • Establish and maintain effective interactions with students, colleagues, university staff and administrators, alumni, key stakeholders, and community partners.
  • Maintain accurate data for sustainability of the athletic alumni database.
  • Assist in planning and implementing reunions and special events.
  • Perform all duties in adherence with NCAA, Conference, and university policies.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree; Five years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
  • One year of experience in coordinating projects and/or programs.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, be highly organized, and comfortable presenting/teaching.
  • Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a varied student body.
  • This position works primarily daytime office hours but requires the ability to work at assigned evening and weekend events.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with athletics or higher education programs, data management and reporting, and alumni engagement.
  • Ability to present and teach, plus familiarity with student-athlete development activities.
