  • Own Calibration & Precision: Work with advanced instrumentation—oscilloscopes, vibration analyzers, laser measurement tools, and more—to ensure equipment accuracy and reliability.
  • Drive Preventative Maintenance: Execute and improve preventive maintenance programs for electrical and control systems to minimize downtime and maximize performance.
  • Lead & Support Critical Projects: Assist with electrical upgrades, monitor contractor work, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
  • Be the Go-To Expert: Respond to equipment issues in real time, troubleshoot I/O systems and sensors, and collaborate with production teams to keep operations on track.
  • Coach & Develop Others: Provide on-the-job training, mentor team members, and communicate shift activities clearly and effectively.
  • Make an Impact Across the Plant: Support packaging, processing, filling, warehouse, and facility systems—no two days are the same.
  • Continuously Grow Your Skills: Stay ahead of evolving technology through hands-on training, certifications, and vendor-led programs.
  • Compliance & Standards: You’ll be accountable for meeting FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Electrical & Control Knowledge: Understand electricity and electrical theory, working knowledge of computers, PLCs, electrical and pneumatic components, and the ability to work safely in electrical panels up to 480 volts.
  • Reading Schematics & Procedures: Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams and follow diagnostic and repair procedures from instrument manuals; training and experience in electrical theory, electronics, plant systems, equipment and procedures.
  • Documentation & Detail: Attention to detail and the ability to complete required documentation neatly and accurately.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with calibration, instrumentation, and industrial electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and control systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and identify root causes quickly.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related education and experience.
