About the Role The Controls Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager and collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to keep manufacturing lines running smoothly. The role focuses on rapid downtime troubleshooting and implementing equipment control and process improvements through automation and technology.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies to improve process, safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Identify new processes and technology to improve cycle times, reduce quality defects, and improve ergonomics through the use of PLCs, servo or variable speed drives, camera technology, robotic technology and any other resource.
- Execute PLC program modifications that enable process improvements.
