Position Summary:
Responsible for overseeing all accounting functions including general ledger accounting, revenue and cost accounting, budget forecasts, and financial reporting
Principal Responsibilities: -\u00a0Supports organizations mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationships with co-workers -\u00a0Provides oversight of the daily operations of the department including general ledger, revenue, cost of goods and accounts payable -\u00a0Reviews the business processes and manages preparation of all financial statements and business dashboards -\u00a0Manages and implements the budgeting process and monitors and analyzes the monthly operating results against budget -\u00a0Plans and manages the year end audit -\u00a0Oversees cash management for all VNA entities and joint ventures to ensure sufficient cash is available for daily operating needs -\u00a0Manages debt financing needs with banks and investment company as needed for continued future operating needs -\u00a0Oversees grant accounting and reporting process for all federal, state and local award and ensures compliance with all grant agreement terms -\u00a0Reviews and evaluates the operating results and communicates the key financial and operational issues to senior management -\u00a0Presents financial results and budget to boards of trustees and committees -\u00a0Oversees budget process -\u00a0Ensures accounting processes and procedures are compliant with state and federal accounting and healthcare financial rules and regulations -\u00a0Supervises a team of accountants in conjunction with the organizations managerial and leadership practices
Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications: -\u00a0Bachelors degree in accounting with CPA certification required, masters degree a plus -\u00a010+ years of senior level finance or accounting experience in a health care setting, non-profit experience a plus -\u00a0Minimum three years of public accounting experience, small to medium sized firm a plus -\u00a0Thorough knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles and profitability analysis -\u00a0Ability to analyze financial data to support continuous performance improvement and prepare financial reports, statements and projections -\u00a0Excellent computer skills with knowledge of latest health care financial technology tools -\u00a0Excellent verbal and written communication skills -\u00a0Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively across all levels of the agency
Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Business Office Environment with phone and computer use
In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the total compensation range for this position is USD $120,000 to USD $170,000. When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions. The total compensation range reflects the total package, including base salary, overtime, bonuses, add-on incentives, special clinical compensation, retirement plans, and all other benefits.
