About the Role The Controller responsible for Administration - General Services will support a specialised industry client with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The role requires standby availability and overtime as needed, and hands-on use of the Kerridge system to maintain information and support service excellence.
What You'll Do
- Provide administrative support and general services management for the team to meet client requirements and service standards.
- Maintain and update the Kerridge system and related databases to ensure accurate, up-to-date information.
- Manage material resources, equipment, facilities and materials required to perform work; ensure proper storage and distribution.
- Contribute to quality control processes, cost awareness, and customer satisfaction by following documented procedures.
- Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders in English; maintain a professional telephone and interpersonal manner.
- Interact with senior management; support internal and external customer service excellence.
- Standby and work overtime as required to meet business needs.
What We're Looking For
- Grade 12 / Matric with a minimum of 5 – 10 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced / Expert computer literacy in MS Outlook, Word & Excel.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services; knowledge of quality control, storage and distribution of products/equipment/parts; English as business communications medium.
- Competence in Active Listening, Critical Thinking, Judgement and Decision Making, Active Learning, Reading Comprehension, Management of Material Resources, Negotiation, Mathematics, Time Management.
- Abilities to influence and negotiate effectively, organize and schedule events and resources, follow through on quality and productivity standards, create innovative approaches, and interact with others in a sensitive and effective way.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail; high energy and good health; ability to standby and work overtime; excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English and Afrikaans) and ability to interact with senior management.
- Experience working on the Kerridge system; ability to maintain and update databases.
- Excellent work ethic, honesty, reliability, dedication and service-focused mindset.
- Ability to work with little supervision, self-motivated and results-oriented; thrives in a team-oriented environment.
