About this role
The Controller (F/M) at Sartorius in Aubagne is responsible for executing controlling tasks and developing controlling standards to support the activities and growth of the company group. The role ensures efficient handling of regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and the development of internal control policies and procedures. It is strongly oriented toward plant performance measurement and involves regular, close collaboration with the local Operations team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual results
- Implement the local budget and forecasts
- Work with the local controlling team, with a focus on operations controlling
- Steer plant performance by measuring productivity, reject rate, inventory variance, and linking these metrics to the Plant P&L
- Support the Operations team in identifying opportunities to increase earnings and reduce costs, including defining action plans and tracking their impact on the P&L
- Prepare standard business analyses for management
- Coordinate reporting processes, monitor reporting deadlines, and create reconciliation accounts for organizational changes
- Ensure quality control over financial reporting
- Support the CAPEX process
- Collaborate in risk management processes
Requirements
- Successfully completed studies in economics or industrial engineering with a focus on controlling
- Professional experience in manufacturing controlling with a solid background in finance and accounting; audit experience is a plus
- Knowledge of SAP, Tableau, and MS Office, with a strong command of Excel
- Analytical thinking and good communication skills, with a confident, self-assured manner
- Ability to work well in a team and demonstrate assertiveness
- Good command of written and spoken English
