Job title: Control/Command Engineer - Train Control & Information Systems

About the Role We are seeking a full-time Control/Command Engineer in Saint-Ouen, near Paris, to deliver engineering solutions for Train Control & Information Systems. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements and industry standards are met, and you will support interface testing and train validation when required.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure the quality of deliverables (Right First Time) and meet delivery schedules (On Time in Full)
  • Apply standard methodologies and processes; manage and escalate open points
  • Design low-voltage and subsystem components to meet client requirements
  • Provide interface control documents (ICD) for relevant subsystems
  • Address change requests (CR) related to your function
  • Maximize reuse of reference solutions or previous projects
  • Support supplier interface tests and PC testing
  • Perform tuning on test benches and trains
  • Contribute to lessons learned within your domain (software, schematics, subsystems)
  • Collaborate with train control engineers and cross-functional teams; assist with interface testing and train validation when required

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Automation, or a related field
  • Experience as a functional rolling stock engineer
  • Knowledge of electrical design and schematics development
  • Familiarity with electrical, electromechanical, or automation engineering (e.g., programmable logic controllers)
  • Practical experience in software design and development using IEC61131-3 languages or tools like Matlab/Simulink, ControlBuild, etc.
  • Understanding of V-cycle design processes, considering Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD)
  • Knowledge of network topologies and interfaces (e.g., Serial Link, Ethernet, MVB, industrial networks)
  • Strong communication skills; experience in a matrix, multi-site, and international environment
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking)

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of rail signaling security standards
  • Experience with interface testing and train validation in railway projects
