About the Role Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology is hiring a Contract Materials Handler to manage the electronic and physical movement of materials from goods inwards to issuing goods outwards at Severn Beach, Bristol on a 6-month contract. The role emphasizes safe handling, accuracy, stock control and timely support to production. What You'll Do
- Goods inwards: Receive materials, reconcile to the delivery note and book in; ensure items are protected and labeled; put away materials with care; process goods promptly while upholding quality standards.
- Goods outwards: Accurately pick and transact kitting; ensure labels identify part, work order or destination; liaise with production to ensure kits are delivered on time; prepare and issue palletised and high-level assembly (HLA) goods to production.
- General: Follow procedures to maintain stock accuracy and data entry; transact and locate goods accurately; perform cycle counting; report and investigate stock variations; ensure RTS are transacted correctly; maintain records of vendor consignment stock; provide support to other departments; cover Packing team during absences; work on rotating shifts as notified by Team Leader; perform other tasks as reasonably requested.
