Job title: Contract Manager
About the Role Technimont is seeking a Contract Manager to manage contractual relations with the client and any consortium or Joint Venture partners on the Project Hail & Ghasha. This role ensures compliance with mutual contractual obligations and leads the contract team during the executive phase from Al Ruwais, Abu Dhabi.
What You'll Do
- Transfer contractual documents and related information to the Project Team (e.g., contract-induction sessions)
- Supervise the preparation of tools for project execution (Contract diagram, list of contractual notifications, drafts of contractual notifications)
- Identify contractual provisions to be transferred to vendors and convey to the Project Procurement Manager/Coordinator to finalize the Project Special Purchase Conditions
- Identify contractual provisions to be transferred to subcontractors and convey to the Project Subcontracting Manager/Coordinator to finalize the Subcontract Special Conditions
- Prepare documents to ensure confidentiality obligations towards the Client and other involved parties are fulfilled by Operating Company, subcontractors and vendors
- Assist the PM/PD and project team in handling contractually relevant matters
- Draft correspondence concerning contractual matters
- Keep records of cases where client/partners do not fulfil contractual obligations; assess consequences with the Project Control Manager and inform the PM/PD for notification
- Identify and prepare change order requests and claims; issue to Client with required documentation; participate in negotiation and status updates
- Identify delays/disruptions attributable to client/partners or force majeure and notify relevant actors
- Inform Subcontract Administration Managers about potential critical issues and coordinate to evaluate consequences
- Participate in negotiation of contract amendments with support from the Contract Negotiator as required
- Inform Legal Affairs if disputes are likely to result in litigation and support related management
- Support Project Risk/Opportunity Management in evaluation during the executive phase
- Support Group Treasury in management of project bank warranties
- Support Project Control in the management of invoices to Clients and/or Partners
- Manage CAR/EAR Insurance activities following current procedures
- Support and ensure adequate training is provided to the team
What We're Looking For
- University Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline or equivalent
- Similar role in at least the last three projects of comparable size
- Relevant experience in construction/modernization of industrial/Refinery/EPC projects and large plants
- At least 8 years of experience in the specific discipline
- Experience working on the Contractor side
- Fluent English; excellent IT and analytical skills; excellent communications, team-oriented and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; self-motivation and direction with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
