Job title: Contract Behavioral Health Technician
About the Role A contract Behavioral Health Technician position with Cape Fox Corporation to support government and behavioral health care services. Requires a Psychiatric Technician background, BLS certification, and eligibility for a security clearance. This role may require obtaining a Top Secret clearance after onboarding.
What You'll Do
- Provide behavioral health care to patients as a contractor psychiatric/behavioral health technician.
- Communicate effectively with Government personnel and other health care providers in English.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association and/or Red Cross programs.
- Adhere to field requirements including educational and experience prerequisites and clearance expectations.
What We're Looking For
- Degree: Certificate (Level 2) or Associate's Degree.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program; or completion of equivalent education and experience that meets the requirement of the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians or completion of education.
- Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a Psychiatric Technician after graduation; experience as a behavioral science specialist/technician in the United States military and proof of having completed an Armed Forces course involving psychiatric technician training or civilian course from an accredited school in the care of behavioral health patients.
- BLS: Possess and maintain current course completion documentation for BLS through an American Heart Association and/or Red Cross approved training program.
- Knowledge/Skills: Contractor behavioral health technicians shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with Government personnel and other health care providers.
- Security Clearance: Active Secret preferred; must successfully obtain Top Secret clearance once onboarded.
