Continuous Improvement Engineer

Role Summary

The Continuous Improvement Engineer drives operational excellence by identifying improvement opportunities, reducing costs, increasing efficiency, and improving product quality. The role applies Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and process optimization methods to deliver sustainable improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes, workflows, equipment, and operational performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop improvement proposals, alternatives, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Support investment decisions, budgeting, and project planning.
• Lead and participate in improvement projects, ensuring targets for quality, cost, and delivery are achieved.
• Create reports, track progress, and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Promote Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies across the organization.
• Act as a consultant and support partner for Lean teams, production management, supervisors, and engineering departments.

Requirements

• University degree (minimum 4 years) or equivalent technical education and professional experience.
• Experience in project management, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
• Knowledge of ERP/MES systems, quality processes, and manufacturing operations.
• Strong technical understanding and good computer skills.
• Good German and English communication skills.
• Strong teamwork, communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
