WHAT IS THIS ROLE ABOUT?
As a Content & Project Specialist, you will manage the development and delivery of Higher Education content and digital learning projects across Malaysia and the wider Asia region.
You will work at the intersection of content, digital learning and project management, bringing together authors, content partners, vendors and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions for university customers.
This role will also give you the opportunity and exposure to work and collaborate with other McGraw Hill’s divisions, as well as distributors, across regions, for effective solutions to our customers.
What you will be doing:
- Manage multiple content and publishing projects end-to-end, from initial concept and planning through development and final delivery.
- Develop project plans, establish timelines and milestones, track progress and proactively address risks or delays.
- Drive the development and digital conversion of new and existing content, including digital learning products and course-related assets.
- Partner with authors, subject matter experts, content developers and external vendors to keep projects moving and ensure quality deliverables.
- Review content development work to ensure quality, accuracy, coverage and alignment with the intended product concept.
- Manage work-in-progress content changes and coordinate feedback between authors, vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, communicate status and escalate issues where required to keep projects on track.
- Maintain clear project documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to the development of sustainable content plans that support the growth of Higher Education solutions across the region.
What you need to be considered:
- 4-8 years of relevant experience in content development, digital learning, EdTech/publishing, media or a similar content-driven environment.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Strong experience in project management, ideally managing multiple projects with different timelines, stakeholders and deliverables.
- Experience working with digital content, digital learning products, eLearning, courseware or technology-enabled content.
- Good understanding of content development or publishing processes and the ability to work effectively with authors, subject matter experts and external content partners.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet critical deadlines.
- Customer and market-focused, with an ability to understand how content and learning solutions can address Higher Education customer needs.
- Excellent English communication skills; Malay and Chinese language capability would be an advantage.
