Job title: Consulting Engineer

About the Role Collaborates with Consulting Engineers to design and deliver Cisco services and solutions that meet customer needs. Works with customers and internal/external resources to strategize, deploy, and optimize solutions, and serves as a primary focal point for issue resolution across technologies.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with other Consulting Engineers to optimize resources and meet customer needs
• Interact with individual contributors, managers, and customers
• Provide input to Sales on technology solutions for customers
• Work with customers along with internal and external resources on strategy, deployment, and optimization of Cisco services and solutions
• Take responsibility for task/project implementation for assigned customer engagements
• Capture and contribute to new implementation techniques and share lessons learned with the broader team
• Create and review project deliverables (Design recommendations, High Level Design, Low Level Design, Implementation/Change Management Plans)
• Build and/or leverage test environments to resolve complex problems and compatibility issues
• Leverage software skills to configure, deploy and troubleshoot Cisco products and solutions; contribute to digital intellectual capital (scripts, digital signatures)
• Act as initial focal point for problem resolution; ensure proper and quick resolution of major customer problems across technologies

What We're Looking For

• Engineering degree in Computer Science or Electronics and Telecommunication
• Certifications: DevNet, CKA, AWS, VMware, CCNA
• Working experience in Cloud and Virtualization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, VMware, OpenStack, and Cisco VIM
• Experience in writing high and low-level designs (including drawings), test plans, MOPs and implementation plans
• Knowledge of PACO Architecture & 3GPP Call Flows (4G, CUPS); MME, S/PGW, ePDG; 5G Architecture (NSA/SA) and related components (AMF, SMF/UPF, PCF, etc.)
• Cloud Native Architecture / Kubernetes
• IP R&S basics (VLANs, Routing Protocols, VPC, Linux Networking) & NSO / Virtual RAN
• Shell / Python / Ansible / YAML / Robot / Automation / CI/CD; test automation and scripting

Nice to Have

• Knowledge on test automation, scripting would be a plus
• Familiarity with Cisco PACO/StarOS/CVIM/vPC-DI and related telecom platforms
