Job title: Consultant: Treasury COO – Strategy & Execution
About the Role Northern Trust seeks a Consultant in Treasury COO – Strategy & Execution to lead the delivery of cross-functional strategic initiatives within Finance/Treasury, partner with IT, Operations, Risk/Compliance, and other groups, and strengthen governance to enable data-driven decision-making. The role requires independently managing multiple priorities, applying analytical rigor, and delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment, while influencing senior stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives across Treasury/Finance, partnering with IT, Operations, Risk/Compliance and other groups, including shaping approach and defining success measures.
- Structure workstreams and execution plans, establish program tracking, roadmaps, and governance routines.
- Proactively identify risks and drive mitigation strategies in partnership with stakeholders.
- Deliver with autonomy, make informed decisions, prioritize competing demands, and ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
- Take accountability for end results, driving resolution of complex issues and removing execution barriers.
- Lead structured, multi-dimensional analyses to support strategic and operational decision-making; translate data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations; develop reporting frameworks across cost, performance, and operational metrics; improve data quality and analytical processes.
- Build and maintain partnerships across Finance, Treasury, Risk, IT, and Operations; prepare and present materials for governance forums and senior stakeholder settings.
- Drive adherence to risk, control, and governance practices; track and resolve audit actions and regulatory deliverables; develop and standardize process documentation and reporting artifacts.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in business analysis, consulting, or Finance/Treasury environments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, oversee complex workstreams, and deliver in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across functions.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently with sound judgment.
- Preferred experience in Treasury, Liquidity, Markets, or Finance COO functions.
- Preferred exposure to regulatory, control, or transformation initiatives.
- Preferred familiarity with data governance, controls, or audit processes.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $114,700 - $194,900 USD.
