Job Summary
- IRES is seeking an experienced Consultant Trainer – Biomedical Engineering to deliver technical training, professional development programmes, workshops and biomedical engineering consultancy assignments.
Key Responsibilities
-
Design and deliver technical training programmes in biomedical engineering.

Develop training materials, presentations, case studies and practical exercises.

Facilitate technical workshops and professional learning sessions.
-
Translate technical concepts and industry practices into practical learning.

Provide technical input into training proposals, curricula and consultancy assignments.
-
Provide technical advisory and subject-matter expertise on biomedical engineering assignments.
-
Keep training content current with relevant technologies, standards and industry practices.

Assess participant learning and provide constructive feedback.

Minimum Qualifications and Professional Experience
-
Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience.
-
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Medical Engineering.
-
Relevant Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Engineering, Healthcare Technology Management or a related field is an advantage.
-
Registered and licensed by the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
-
Current membership of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).
-
Relevant professional certification in the consultant’s area of specialisation, where applicable.
-
Demonstrated experience in professional training, facilitation, technical presentations or knowledge transfer.

The Consultant Trainer will be engaged on a need basis for specific training and consultancy assignments. The scope, duration, deliverables and professional fees will be agreed before each engagement.
