Job title: Consultant, Life Sciences & Healthcare Consulting Group
About the Role The Consultant, Life Sciences & Healthcare Consulting Group will support pharmaceutical and medical device clients in designing and operating effective compliance risk management programs, helping ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements and corporate policies. This role collaborates with Life Sciences Practice professionals to translate ideas into practical, data-driven deliverables and scalable compliance solutions across client organizations.
What You'll Do
- Develop strategies to solve complex challenges.
- Create and deliver high-quality client deliverables using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with timely delivery.
- Partner with Life Sciences Practice professionals to transform ideas into visualizations that communicate the output of various Firm assessments and analyses.
- Stay up-to-date with local, national, and international issues impacting our clients.
- Support business and product development efforts to expand the market presence of the Consulting Group and the broader Paul Hastings Life Sciences team.
- Support and learn about key aspects of the Consulting Group's practice development and other internal operations (including account planning, marketing, recruiting, training, and performance management).

- Advanced knowledge of pivot tables and complex formulas in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, NESTED IF statements, etc.).
- Bachelor's Degree/Major in Engineering (preferably Biomedical), English, Finance, Economics, Business, or related course of study (required); Master’s degree (preferred).
- At least 1-2 years of experience working in a consulting/professional services environment (required).
- Experience conducting data and financial analyses, valuation, or Fair Market Value (FMV) assessments, preferably within the life sciences industry (required).
- Strong analytical and modeling skills, with the ability to interpret compensation and market research (required).
- Experience working with/course work focused on the life sciences industry (preferred).
- Prior exposure to working directly with more senior colleagues (preferred).
- Solid working knowledge of how life sciences companies are structured and operate (preferred).
- Foundational knowledge associated with US and global regulatory agencies (e.g., HHS OIG, DOJ, FDA, etc.) and their respective guidelines, policies, standards, practices, requirements, and precedents (e.g., Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA, Corporate Integrity Agreements, etc.) (preferred).

Compensation & Benefits
- Boston, San Francisco, and Palo Alto: $91,000 - $116,000 USD per year.
- Los Angeles and Washington, DC: $85,300 - $108,700 USD per year.
