We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant in Learning Disabilities Psychiatry to work full-time for our NHS client based in Kettering, Northamptonshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis, with an immediate start for a short-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of adults to understand mental health challenges, considering personal history and symptoms.
- Formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to each person’s needs and goals.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with various healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
- Oversee therapeutic interventions, including medication management and crisis interventions.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimise care.
- Contribute to risk assessments and management strategies, ensuring safety and well-being.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Section 12 approval
- MRCPsych
- Previous experience in a similar role
