This may include research, quantitative analysis, stakeholder engagement, report preparation, presentations, project coordination and proposal development.
- The role requires a strong consultant and hands-on financial modeller who can understand complex project and client problems and translate technical, regulatory, operational and commercial information into robust financial analysis and practical recommendations.

- Conduct scenario, sensitivity, break-even and risk analysis.
- Develop financial and commercial scenarios relating to tariffs, revenue, demand, operating costs, capital expenditure, losses, collections, financing and other relevant project drivers.
- Review existing financial models developed internally or by clients and third parties, identifying formula errors, structural weaknesses, inconsistencies and unsupported assumptions.
- Assess the commercial reasonableness of model assumptions and interpret outputs in the context of the underlying project, market and regulatory environment.
- Apply appropriate model integrity checks, reconciliations and controls to ensure that models are accurate, internally consistent, transparent and capable of independent review.
- Prepare clear assumptions documentation, model guides and supporting materials.
- Present financial analysis, key sensitivities, risks and recommendations clearly to project teams and clients.

- Contribute to the development of practical financial and commercial recommendations for clients.
- Support the assessment of infrastructure and energy investments across different technologies, business models and market structures.
Consulting and project delivery:
- Contribute to multidisciplinary consulting assignments across EMRC's areas of work.
- Conduct research, data collection, benchmarking, market analysis and quantitative analysis.
- Analyse complex datasets and translate findings into clear conclusions and recommendations.
- Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, briefing notes and other project deliverables.

- Support project planning, coordination and delivery in line with agreed timelines and quality requirements.
- Work closely with technical, regulatory, policy, energy-transition, market-research and digital-systems teams.

- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and financial-modelling capability development across the firm.
- Identify opportunities for financial and commercial advisory support within existing and prospective assignments.
- Contribute to project credentials, case studies, market insights and other knowledge materials.
