Capgemini's Digital Continuity team partners with clients to transform Engineering and R&D capabilities across the value chain, spanning sales and marketing, R&D, engineering, manufacturing, operations, and aftersales. We help organizations improve competitiveness, strengthen engineering performance, accelerate innovation, and enable data-driven decision making through Digital Engineering transformation.

Your Role

As a Consultant, Digital Engineering, you will support clients in defining and executing Digital Engineering transformation initiatives that improve engineering effectiveness, product development, and operational performance. Working closely with client stakeholders and cross-functional Capgemini teams, you will analyze business and engineering challenges, develop strategic recommendations, and support implementation of innovative solutions across the engineering value chain.

You will contribute to engagements involving engineering transformation, systems engineering, product lifecycle management, model-based engineering, and digital continuity initiatives, while leveraging AI-enabled ways of working to enhance analysis, research, solution development, and client outcomes.

Responsibilities

Include:

• Support consulting engagements focused on Digital Engineering, Engineering & R&D, and transformation initiatives within organizations.

• Conduct analyses of client processes, operating models, engineering workflows, data, and technology landscapes to identify opportunities for improvement and value creation.

• Contribute to client initiatives involving PLM, MOM/MES, ERP, MBSE, Model-Based Enterprise (MBE), Digital Twins, Digital Threads, and engineering software ecosystems.

• Facilitate workshops, gather requirements, perform process assessments, develop business cases, and translate technical findings into actionable business recommendations.

• Leverage AI and Generative AI capabilities to improve research, analysis, solution development, and client delivery while supporting responsible AI adoption and governance.

• Your Skills + Experience

• You bring strong AI literacy, including core AI and generative AI concepts, and understand how these capabilities apply to enterprise transformation. You are able to identify and support AI-enabled opportunities that improve business outcomes and delivery effectiveness, and you have experience working in AI-augmented ways of working to enhance research, analysis, and solution development. You collaborate effectively across strategy, technology, data, and design to enable AI-driven solutions, with a solid understanding of responsible AI principles such as ethics, privacy, security, and governance. You demonstrate curiosity and a continuous learning mindset around emerging AI capabilities and their practical application in client environments.

• Required Experience

• 3+ years of consulting and/or industry experience in Digital Engineering, Aerospace & Defense, Engineering & R&D, Manufacturing, or related industrial sectors.

• Experience supporting engineering transformation, systems engineering, product development, software engineering, or digital transformation initiatives with measurable business outcomes.

• Working knowledge of PLM, MOM/MES, ERP, MBSE, Model-Based Enterprise (MBE), Digital Twin, and Digital Thread concepts and associated technology ecosystems.

• Experience conducting business analysis, process assessments, stakeholder interviews, workshop facilitation, and development of strategic recommendations.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including experience preparing executive-level presentations and client deliverables.

• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and Generative AI tools to improve delivery effectiveness, research, analysis, and transformation outcomes.

• Ability to work collaboratively across business, engineering, technology, data, and design teams within a consulting environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degrees are a plus.

• Preferred Experience

• Aerospace & Defense industry experience across engineering, product development, manufacturing, systems engineering, or sustainment environments.

• Exposure to leading engineering and enterprise platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE, PTC Windchill, SAP, Oracle, Cameo, or comparable technologies.

• Familiarity with Agile, Systems Engineering, Product Lifecycle Management, and Digital Transformation methodologies.

• Interest in emerging technologies including AI/GenAI, Digital Twins, Digital Threads, and Model-Based Engineering.

• The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $72,000 - $136,000

• Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

• The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

• These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

• It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

• In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
