Job title: Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) - Night Shift-ON CALL

About the Role Cape Fox Facilities Services (CFFS) is seeking qualified Construction Surveillance Technicians to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The CST will help implement the CST Site Security Program (SSP) to detect unauthorized access, deter tampering, and observe construction activities to prevent clandestine surveillance devices. This role includes night shift/on-call responsibilities and requires high physical fitness and strict adherence to CSP and security protocols.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor activities of all personnel on the SCS.
  • Document construction activities of all people on the SCS.
  • Document all security incidents that occur on the SCS.
  • Perform in-depth inspections of construction materials, tools, and equipment prior to and after use/installation to ensure items are free of tampering and identify anomalies, including material inspections with Non-Linear Junction Detector, Spectrum Analyzer, and Portable X-Ray machine.
  • Be trained in the use of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) equipment to effectively utilize such equipment during material inspections.
  • Conduct material inspections under direction of the SSM.
  • Identify anomalies and variances in finished construction work against official project construction plans.
  • Perform close-in/seal-in inspections in accordance with the CSP, SSM, and SSC direction.
  • Perform access control functions, including personnel and bag searches, to prevent entry of unauthorized persons, materials, and equipment.
  • Carry out opening and closing procedures of the SCS each day as directed by the SSM. Operations may be 24/7/365.
  • Be flexible for shifts and mission requirements; travel up to 0-10% as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance, and a current CI Polygraph, or willingness to take a CI polygraph, prior to employment.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of construction experience or equivalent security experience; security experience must include at least two (2) years of construction experience related to SCIF construction or physical security.
  • Knowledgeable of and able to apply sixteen (16) standard divisions of construction.
  • Valid certificate for completion of a forty (40) hour CST Training Course.
  • Ability to perform physical activities including standing, sitting, bending, walking, kneeling, etc.
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) classification guidelines and procedures under ICD/ICS-705.
  • Experience in the construction trades (electrician, plumber, carpenter, etc.).
  • Flexible and willing to work during evening hours.
