About the Role Cape Fox Facilities Services (CFFS) is seeking qualified Construction Surveillance Technicians to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The CST Site Security Program (SSP) aims to detect unauthorized access to controlled areas, deter the introduction of unauthorized materials, and observe activities of construction workers and visitors to prevent implantation of clandestine surveillance devices or systems into the structure being constructed.

What You'll Do

  • Be available to work during evening hours; shifts between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM; may include 24/7/365 operations.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance; work in a highly secure and visible environment.
  • Monitor the activities of all personnel on the SCS; document construction activities and security incidents.
  • Perform in-depth inspections of construction materials, tools, and equipment per the CSP; ensure items are free of tampering and identify anomalies using specialized equipment.
  • Utilize Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) equipment during material inspections; inspections are performed under the direction of the SSM.
  • Identify anomalies/variances in finished work against official project plans; perform close-in/seal-in inspections per CSP, SSM, and SSC directions.
  • Perform access control functions, including personnel and bag searches; prevent entry of unauthorized persons, materials, and equipment.
  • Carry out opening and closing procedures of the SCS each day as directed by the SSM; operations may be 24/7/365 and hours may change to meet mission requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance, and a current CI Polygraph, or willingness to take a CI polygraph prior to employment.
  • Minimum five (5) years of construction experience or equivalent; security experience must include at least two (2) years directly related to SCIF construction or physical security.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply the sixteen (16) standard divisions of construction.
  • Valid certificate for successful completion of a forty (40) hour or greater CST Training Course.
  • Ability to perform the specified physical activities (standing, sitting, bending, walking, kneeling, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) classification guidelines and procedures.
  • Experience working within the construction trades (electrician, plumber, carpenter, etc.).
  • Flexibility to work evening hours.
