Job title: Construction Surveillance Technician (CST)
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) to secure and monitor the Secure Construction Site (SCS) and oversee adherence to construction plans and security protocols. The role requires vigilance, incident documentation, and use of specialized screening equipment to prevent tampering and protect sensitive work.
What You'll Do
- Monitor the activities of all personnel on the SCS at all times
- Document activities of personnel on the SCS
- Document all security incidents on the SCS
- Conduct in-depth inspections of construction materials, tools, and equipment before and after use to ensure tamper-free and identify anomalies
- Use specialized equipment including the Non-Linear Junction Detector, Spectrum Analyzer, and Portable X-Ray machine for inspections
- Utilize Technical Security Counter Measure equipment to screen equipment and materials
- Identify anomalies and variances in construction work against the official project construction plans
- Perform close-in/Seal-in inspections in accordance with the CSP, SSM, and SSC Direction
- Perform access control functions including personnel and bag searches
- Carry out opening and closing procedures of the SCS daily as directed by the SSM
- Operations may include 24/7/365 operations
What We're Looking For
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Minimum of five (5) years of construction experience or equivalent experience such as security experience; security experience must be a minimum of two (2) years of construction experience directly related to SCIF construction or physical security
- Knowledgeable of common listening devices used by foreign intelligence services
- Must hold a valid certificate for the successful completion of a forty (40) hour or greater CST training course
- Must be able to stand, sit, bend, walk, kneel, and perform other related physical activities for extended periods of time
- Have experience working with construction trades
- Travel Requirements: 0 - 10%
