About the Role
Cape Fox Corporation is seeking a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) to support on-site construction security across projects. The role requires a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (or equivalent) and expertise in surveillance countermeasures, construction security, and blueprint analysis to protect architectural concepts and project integrity. The CST will work at construction sites, potentially in unheated or exposed environments, with travel as needed.
What You'll Do
- Perform construction security surveillance and implement countermeasures against technical penetration.
- Analyze designs, blueprints, and structural concepts to understand architect’s intent and prevent exploitation.
- Know and apply TSCM, PHOTOINT, IMINT techniques and construction principles used by intelligence services.
- Ensure appropriate security levels within various facility areas as the project progresses; adapt to site conditions.
- Possess hands-on supervisory construction experience and coordinate with contractor teams; work with a mix of personnel.
- Maintain familiarity with office equipment and software for documentation.
- Travel to project sites as required; navigate stairs and stand for extended periods in field conditions.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; 3 to 5 years of total experience in at least one of: construction security surveillance; technical surveillance countermeasures; government security involving counterintelligence; construction quality assurance; hands-on supervisory construction experience; military service; law enforcement.
- Active Top Secret clearance and SCI or eligible for SCI.
- Familiarity with office machines and office software.
- Ability to travel; physical ability to navigate stairs and stand for extended periods at construction sites in potentially outdoor conditions.
- Possess DoS Construction Surveillance Technician certification.
- Knowledge of construction disciplines (Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic Engineering).
- Ability to analyze designs and blueprints and interpret architect’s intended use and design concept.
- Knowledge of security requirements for different facility zones during construction or renovation.
- Knowledge of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, PHOTOINT, IMINT, and related devices used by hostile and friendly services.
- Experience with countermeasures to protect against technical penetration.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay: $40.09 per hour for up to 40 hours per week under SCLS regulations.
