Construction Superintendent

About the Role Volt is immediately hiring a Construction Superintendent for a contract, full-time role in Lathrop, CA. You will lead on-site construction from planning through installation and start of production, coordinating with Construction Management, Design Engineering, Facility Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Facility Operation, and Production Operation teams to drive field execution and ensure safety and compliance. What You'll Do

• Supervise all on-site construction, schedule trade contractors, resolve day-to-day construction issues, perform inspections, and maintain safety to meet plans and specifications while tracking project schedule.
• Take ownership of assigned projects, drive field execution, and ensure means and methods meet Specifications.
• Evaluate plans, build project schedules, support submittal reviews, write RFIs, and coordinate in-field shutdowns with project stakeholders.
• Maintain effective communication with QC, QA, CX, and Facilities; coordinate field execution with contractors; establish dimensional layout/control; verify installation material matches design documents; ensure contractor as-builts are accurately captured.
• Maintain a safe/clean site, identify and correct safety hazards/violations, and quickly resolve field clashes with stakeholders.
• Review project plans, P&ID’s, and single-line diagrams to determine feasibility of construction and identify potential value engineering opportunities.
• Manage multiple work fronts simultaneously while adhering to company specifications, procedures, and policies. What We're Looking For
• Minimum 5 years of construction or Manufacturing experience in large industrial projects in Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Refining, Pharmaceuticals, Semiconductors, Data Center or equivalent high-tech facilities.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and scheduling software (Microsoft Projects).
• Ability to identify and implement effective methods to communicate or plan a project and its scopes.
• Preferred: Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills; OSHA 30 certification (or equivalent); current First Aid and CPR Certification, or willingness to be certified.
• Willingness to spend a high percentage of time in the field and to get hands dirty as needed to complete objectives.
• Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals. Nice to Have
• OSHA 30 certification (or equivalent) and First Aid/CPR certification. Compensation & Benefits
• Pay Rate: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour.
• This is a contract opportunity with pay range based on education, work experience, location, specific job duties, and certifications.
