Location: Anson, Texas (Onsite)

Role Overview

The Construction Manager is responsible for the project’s success from a field level, serving as the bridge between field operations and the Project Manager. This role involves coordinating and managing construction work performed by contractors, assessing productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance. The position is approximately 70% office-based and 30% in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage construction work performed by contractors and vendors at the project site.

• Assess productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance.

• Manage walk-downs of planned work, validate acceptance of completed work to design requirements, and approve contractor payment requests.

• Oversee scope control, budget oversight, performance reporting, and schedules to ensure project goals are met.

• Provide leadership and coaching to Construction Supervisors and supplemental workforce.

• Act as a critical bridge between field operations and customer leadership, ensuring alignment among stakeholders.

• Read and understand contract documents, permits, road use agreements, drawings, and schedules.

• Ensure accurate data collection and reporting for progress tracking and potential change order disputes.

• Manage and utilize additional resources, including environmental, safety, and subject matter expert teams.

• Driving will be required as part of this position's duties.

• Required Qualifications

• Education: An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience: 11 - 15 years of experience in power plant commissioning, working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers.

Skills

• A strong understanding of engineering principles related to power plant commissioning. Proficiency in Microsoft Word is required.
