Construction Lawyer (Associate/Senior Associate/Director)

About the Role Join Squire Patton Boggs' global Construction & Engineering practice in Birmingham as an experienced Construction lawyer at Associate, Senior Associate, or Director level. You will work on both contentious and non-contentious matters, with opportunities for direct client contact in a collaborative, supportive environment. The role offers clear progression within a leading global firm and exposure to a broad mix of clients and international expertise. What You'll Do

• Advise clients on all aspects of construction and engineering projects from inception through to execution and dispute resolution.
• Draft and negotiate contracts and procurement documentation, including NEC4, JCT, Model Forms, FIDIC, IChemE, and turnkey contracts.
• Manage and support dispute resolution, including litigation, arbitration (including international), dispute boards, adjudication, and ADR.
• Collaborate with a cross-office team, contribute to business development, and provide client service excellence. What We're Looking For
• Proven experience as a Construction lawyer at Associate/Senior Associate/Director level with a solid background in either contentious or non-contentious Construction & Engineering law (or a mix).
• Strong knowledge of UK standard contracts (NEC4, JCT, Model Forms) and international forms (FIDIC, IChemE).
• Excellent client-facing skills, business development orientation, and ability to work well in a collaborative team.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills; proactive and commercially minded. Nice to Have
• Experience handling disputes via arbitration (including international arbitration) and other dispute resolution mechanisms.
• Mixed contentious/non-contentious practice; exposure to international projects; experience in a UK law firm. Compensation & Benefits
