About the Role This is a role for an experienced Construction lawyer to join Squire Patton Boggs' Construction & Engineering practice in Birmingham at Associate, Senior Associate, or Director level. The team handles both contentious and non-contentious work across UK and international projects and advises on major procurement and execution issues. The firm values collaboration, client service, and opportunities for progression within a global platform. What You'll Do
- Provide construction and engineering legal services across project lifecycles from inception through execution and resolution of disputes
- Advise on standard UK contract forms (NEC4, JCT, Model Forms) and international forms such as FIDIC and IChemE
- Manage or support dispute resolution processes including litigation, arbitration (including international), dispute boards, adjudication and ADR
- Cultivate direct client relationships, contribute to business development, and work effectively in a team
- Support flexible working arrangements and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive culture What We're Looking For
- An experienced Construction lawyer at Associate, Senior Associate, or Director level with solid background in contentious or non-contentious Construction & Engineering law, or a mix of both
- Commercial, proactive, and client-focused with strong people skills and a team orientation
- Interest in business development and ability to develop client solutions in a global firm Nice to Have
- Experience across both UK and international construction contracts and dispute resolution
