Location: Albuquerque, NM. This opportunity is expected to be primarily field-based and on-site, giving you the chance to stay connected to the projects you're helping deliver. The exact work arrangement will be confirmed during the hiring process.

Note: We're looking for candidates with 2+ years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure, construction inspection, construction observation, or water/wastewater engineering. We welcome professionals with both engineering and field inspection backgrounds who are comfortable reviewing construction plans and documenting project progress.

Job Description

• Observe and inspect civil infrastructure construction activities, with an emphasis on water and wastewater projects.
• Review engineering drawings, construction plans, and project specifications to help ensure work meets project requirements.
• Monitor construction progress, workmanship, and materials for quality and compliance.
• Prepare inspection reports, field notes, construction documentation, and progress updates.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to address construction questions and field challenges.
• Identify potential issues, communicate findings, and support practical solutions that keep projects moving.
• Help maintain accurate project records and support successful construction completion.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in civil infrastructure, construction inspection, construction observation, or related engineering work.

• Experience reviewing civil engineering drawings, construction plans, or technical specifications.

• Familiarity with municipal water, wastewater, utilities, or related infrastructure projects is highly valued.

• Ability to document construction activities and communicate effectively with project teams.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Previous field inspection or construction oversight experience is a plus.

• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is not required.
