Job title: Construction CQC Manager
About the Role The CQC Manager will be onsite for Department of Defense construction projects in various regions and is responsible for all aspects of construction quality control (CQC), ensuring compliance with contract requirements and high standards of service delivery.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and update the QC documentation and program to reflect project requirements
- Attend coordination meetings with the Client, subcontractors, and other contractor staff
- Implement the Three Phases of Control for all definable features of work
- Perform inspections to ensure work is completed in accordance with contract plans and specifications
- Stop work that does not comply with the contract and direct removal and replacement of any defective work
- Prepare and submit daily quality control reports
- Conduct weekly CQC meetings and communicate findings
- Oversee the review and approval of design and construction drawings
- Update As-Built drawings and maintain related documentation
- Coordinate onsite and offsite activities and maintain a testing log
- Review invoices prior to approval to ensure all relevant work is completed per contract
- Perform punch-list and pre-final inspections
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisors and senior level managers to support successful project performance
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, engineering technology, building construction, or building science from a US-accredited four-year college or university
- Completion of the Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors course and possession of a current certificate
- Five (5) years of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, or Project Engineer
- Familiarity with US Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1 and experience in hazard identification and safety compliance
- Demonstrated ability to work onsite and coordinate with client and contractor teams
