The Configuration manager will support PEO C3BM – ABMS – Advanced Battle Management Systems – Deployable Systems branch customer at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The customer organization is responsible for capability development and development planning. The Configuration Manager will work with internal and external stakeholders to plan, execute, assess, and document deliverables for the tactical command and control (C2) systems. The majority of the work will be done in the customer workspace. Some travel is expected (up to 20%).
Responsibilities
- Duties to be independently executed include but are not limited to:
- Provide support in the preparation and maintenance of Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) for inclusion in Request for Proposals (RFPs), contracts, and contract modifications; performed using either automated or manual processing systems; provide support to receive, log, track and maintain current status of contract data deliverables; assist with maintaining electronic and manual data management files; and provide associated historical information.
- Maintain configuration status accounting databases and records to reflect the status of baseline documentation, primarily with MEARS or equivalent.
- Support data reviews. This support shall include integrating inputs from Program Office/IPT functionals into draft CDRLs, preparing data review documentation, participating in data reviews, drafting data, reviewing minutes, and following up and maintaining statuses of action items.
- Assist in planning and execution of Configuration Control Board (CCB) Business Management Boards (or their equivalent); assist in maintaining proposal files; and assist in providing historical information.
- Provide research, analyses, studies, documentation, briefing development, and assistance in briefing delivery as required to support program office or higher-level activities. Participate in Government review/meetings/working groups as applicable and in Government and industry teams for the resolution of complex configuration management issues.
- Review program-unique specifications to include system specifications, development specifications, and product specifications for both hardware and software, for proper format, content, and compliance with program requirements and appropriate standards; and track the requests through the appropriate Government agencies for responding back to the customer.
- Support the configuration control function to include receipt, dissemination, processing, tracking, and final disposition of engineering change proposals (ECPs), change control processes (CCPs), Requests for Deviation/Waiver (RFD/RFW), Deficiency Reports (DRs), service introductions; review change proposals for thoroughness, configuration and data management impacts and compliance with Government requirements; make appropriate recommendation
