About the role
Our Clark location is part of our Taste Division, producing flavors and ingredients. Our Clark facility is unique in the sense they have two buildings. The North building has a fruitier smell to it, the teams in that building are producing natural flavorings and essential oils. The South building is the complete opposite, it will have savory and garlic smells because the team is producing seasonings for meat, chicken broth, and beef gravy.

Hours are Sunday to Thursday 1030pm - 630 am
In addition to being an experienced operator/compounder, the lead operator supervises and coordinates all efforts related to the day-to-day operation of the assigned department on the assigned shift. The shift lead completes the shift report each day. In the absence of the shift supervisor, he/she may make decisions related to routine issues on the production floor. The Lead Operator must oversee all operator training requirements, ensuring accurate and consistent interpretation of all company practices and guidelines.
Key responsibilities

Ensures department production needs are met regarding quality, GMP and Safety. Make sure all MSS and Golden 6 are completed

Keeps the immediate supervisor informed of relevant activities on shift and takes or recommends corrective action when required.

Works with operators and the production supervisors to ensure a smooth transition from shift to shift.

Ensures all operators on assigned shift within assigned department are following acceptable practices in relation to their roles and responsibilities

Identifies potential safety issues and coordinates resolution with HS&E

Trains staff to identify and correct problems. Maximizes subordinate current skill set and works with supervisor to develop team members to their maximum potential.

Required to have the flexibility to move between all shifts to conduct necessary training, and cover for vacancies

Maintain accurate and timely production and inventory records

Minimum mid-level computer skills and proficiency in SAP with ability to master future ERP systems

Follow all 5S and Good Manufacturing procedures to maintain good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations.

Proper handling of Allergen products and equipment according to Allergen Control Procedures

HS or equivalent experience

Must be proficient in all areas of the assigned production department

Must be proficient in the use of all related equipment

Physical Requirements
-
Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and move up to 400 pounds. Must be able to operate forklifts and other equipment integral to the job functions. Must be able to see and distinguish between labels. Must be able to stand for extended periods and walk through the warehouse. Must be certified to wear a respirator and follow all rules regarding respirator wear.

The pay rate for this position is $29.00 per hour.
