Job title: Compounder 2nd Shift

About the Role Based in Clark, NJ, the Compounder will support Kerry's Taste Division by producing flavors, ingredients, and batches that meet quality and safety standards in a cost-effective, safe, and timely manner. This is the 2nd shift role (Monday–Friday with overtime and weekends), located at the Clark facility.

What You'll Do

  • Compound formulas accurately by weight and ingredients, applying the best methodology for the product or mix.
  • Possess and apply working knowledge of all raw materials to ensure quality and consistency in batches (mixing/heating as needed).
  • Utilize FIFO inventory rotation for all materials used.
  • Operate pumps, mixers, scales, fork trucks, high-density storage units, meters, and computers.
  • Fill out daily scale logs; report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Follow manufacturing instructions on formula batch sheets using proper compounding techniques to ensure product quality.
  • Properly label all batches submitted to the lab for evaluation.
  • Follow 5S and GMP procedures to maintain housekeeping and ensure safety and environmental compliance.
  • Proper handling of Allergen products and equipment per Allergen Control Procedures.
  • Ensure conformance to Food Safety and Food Quality Plans per Kerry Clark SQF Systems manual; report deviations to management/QA and set product aside until further instructions.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Management.

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to compound formulas accurately by weight and ingredients, using appropriate methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of raw materials and ability to ensure batch quality and consistency.
  • Experience with FIFO inventory practices.
  • Familiarity with pumps, mixers, scales, fork trucks, storage units, meters, and computers.
  • Experience completing scale logs and communicating discrepancies to supervision.
  • Ability to follow batch sheet instructions and proper compounding techniques.
  • Experience labeling batches for lab evaluation.
  • Knowledge of 5S and GMP requirements, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Proper allergen handling and equipment procedures.
  • Understanding of Food Safety and Food Quality Plans (SQF Systems) and reporting deviations to management/QA.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $17.34 - $27.56 per hour. Kerry uses pay-for-performance; compensation offered within the range depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
